Information
While the pandemic highlighted the critical role that school meals play in supporting student nutrition, health and academic achievement--it also emphasized the significant benefits of providing free meals to all students. Did you know that California, Maine, Colorado and Minnesota have passed legislation to make healthy school meals free for all? Join this session as it is a timely opportunity to think about what all students participating at no cost can look like. Hear how school nutrition staff and SNA state chapters have been leaders in “Healthy School Meals for All” campaigns and identify ways to get involved. Representatives from USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service will also be on hand to share what they are doing to support “Healthy School Meals for All.”
